REASI, June 21: A CRPF jawan of 126 battalion attempted suicide by shooting himself with AK-47 rifle of his officer inside the camp, here today.
The jawan, identified as P Jyoti Borah of Golaghat in Assam, was airlifted to Government Medical College Hospital Jammu and his condition was stated to be serious.
Reports said that the incident took place at Bagga company location when the jawan entered into official accommodation of the officer and fired upon himself in a fit of rage over some unknown reason.
Meanwhile, Police has registered the case and started investigation.
