JAMMU, Apr 16: The 160th Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) today organized a Bravery Award ceremony and paid tribute to the martyrs. The event was held at Chatha here.
In addition to the award ceremony, inter-community sports competitions were also held, which lasted for a week and saw enthusiastic participation from both officers and jawans. The program aimed to foster team spirit and harmony among the CRPF personnel.
The event also featured a painting competition for children, which showcased the children’s artistic skills and creativity. The winners of the competition were awarded prizes.
Hari Om Khare, the Commandant of the 160 Battalion, and Angom Naresh Singh, the Second-in-Command Officer, were present at the event, along with other officers, subordinate officers, and jawans.
Following the prize distribution ceremony, an Iftar party was organized for the Jawans, and the officers greeted their Muslim brothers on the auspicious occasion of Ramzan.
Hariom Khare, the Commandant of the 160 Battalion, expressed his views on the program, stating that such initiatives are essential in the lives of jawans, as they foster mutual harmony and team spirit among them.
