CSIR-IIIM organises Painting, Drawing Competition

JAMMU, Mar 2: CSIR-Indian Institute of Integrative Medicine (CSIR-IIIM), conducted ‘On-the-Spot Flower Painting/Drawing Competition’ at CSIR-IIIM main campus, here.
About 500 children from 50 schools of Jammu region of J&K participated in the event.
This programme is a part of Kissan Mela, Flower Show and Entrepreneurship Programme which will be organized on March 23, 2014 at IIIM Farm, Chatha.
The event was categorized in three groups-Group A (5-8 years), Group B (9-12 years) and Group C (13-16 years).
Children of group B and C were given the flowers of Pansy and Nasturtium respectively.
Three participants of each group will be chosen for prizes and the result of the Competition will be sent to respected schools and prizes will be distributed on March 23, 2014 during Kissan Mela, Flower Show and Entrepreneurship Programme.
Dr Suresh Chandra (Secretary), Dr Narendra Kumar and V K Khanna (Joint Secretaries) and other staff members of CSIR-IIIM Jammu were present during the event.
This programme was held under the guidance of the Director, Dr Ram Vishwakarma.
