CSO, JKP XI register convincing victories

JAMMU, Dec 13: Christian Sports Organization and JKP XI registered resounding wins in the ongoing Christmas Twenty-20 Cup Cricket Tournament, being organized by Christian Sports Organization J&K  in collaboration with J&K Police Department at Parade Ground, here.
The objective of the tournament is to celebrate the festival of Christmas with all masses through sports, to promote the sports culture and to channelize the energy of the youth in a right direction.
First match was played between Christian Sports Organisation and Young Eleven. Batting first, Christian Sports Organization scored 136 runs in the stipulated 20 overs. Rohan, Ravi and Rakul were the main scorers with 28, 24 and 14 runs respectively. For Young XI, Sanju Took 4 wickets while Raghu, Shugal and Deepak shared 1 wicket each.
In reply, Young XI could not chase the target and were all out for 128 runs for the loss of 6 wickets. Main scorers from Young XI were Rohit, Sanju and Rajesh, who scored 39, 31 and 12 runs respectively. For Christian Sports, Ambrose bagged 2 wickets, while Rixon, Ravi and Sahil took 1 wicket each.
Second match was played between JKP XI and Indiana XI. Indiana batting first scored 112 runs for 7 wickets in 20 overs. Sandeep, Gagan and Prashant scored 15,11, 9 runs. For JKP XI, Dilbag and Farooq took 2 wickets each, while Rajesh Gill, Vishal and Gurdeep took 1 wicket each.
After the first inning of the match the drizzling started on the ground and the target of 38 runs in 6 overs was given to the JKP XI. Skipper JKP XI Rajesh Gill & Farooq opened the inning for JKP and scored 41 runs without any loss in Just 4.5 overs.
Sandeep, Micheal and Suhail were the umpires while Sanjay Bhatti acted as scorer.
Tomorrow’s Fixture:  RCC would lock horns with HPCC at 9 am and Atman Club  shall take on  Simula XI  at 1 pm at the same venue.
