JAMMU, July 3:  Christian Sports Organization XI defeated N H Christian Cricket Academy by 20 runs in the third match to win the Under-14 3-match cricket series by (2-1) at Alexander Memorial High School, here today.
Fr Kuriakose, Chairman Christian Sports Organization J&K, Jammu was the chief guest on the valedictory function, while Pawan Parihar, SSP Traffic Jammu presided over the function. DySP Shahid Parvez was guest of honour and Lal Gill was the special guest.
The chief guest and the other dignitaries distributed prizes among the winners and runners-up teams alongwith cricket kit bags to the participating teams.
Earlier, in the summit clash, Christian Sports XI won the toss and elected to bat first to score 84 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in the stipulated 15 overs. Ivan top scored with unbeaten 15 runs, while Kallis (13) and Anslum (12 ) were the other contributors. Max was the pick of the bowlers, who took 4 wickets, while Arjun took 2 and Yash one.
In reply, NH Christian Academy managed 46 runs for the loss of 9 wickets, thus lost the match by 38 runs. Nikhal and francis scored 12 and 9 runs respectively. For Christian Sports Organisation, Kaniya Lal, Ivan Khokhar and Kallis  shared 3 wickets each.  Ivan was adjudged man of the match and best bowler, while Ronit was declared best batsman man of the series.
Fr Kuriakose and Pawan Parihar spoke on the occasion.
The tournament was organized jointly by Christian Sports Organization J&K  and J&K Police, under the supervision of  Rajesh Gill,  former Ranji Trophy player.
The matches were officiated by Pawan Mooman and Ajay Mattoo, while Sandeep Manchanda maintained the Scorebook.
