JAMMU, May 28: CT Group of Institutions is organizing two-day long career guidance fair ‘Career Mela’ on May 30-31 at Government Polytechnic College, here.
The event will seek to provide high quality guidance and counseling programme as the Corporate Social Responsibility of the institutions.
This fair will be organized as a joint venture of CT Group and Career Kafe for the Polytechnic students from different Polytechnic Colleges affiliated under Directorate of Technical Education, J&K and for the students of 9th and 10th standards.
Around 10,000 students and parents are likely to attend the fair to seek counseling for improved courses selection from renowned education experts.
The highlights of the programme will be Career awareness, career planning and progression. The students will be given guidance on skill-oriented courses and vocational studies.
Counselors’ and reputed institutes from Punjab, Jammu and other places will participate in the event.
The career mela holds importance with an objective to provide students with the necessary inputs about the industry trends and improve employability ratio. Students who need to build emotional strengths, motivation to perform and develop their personalities.
Gauri Chhabra (Career Consultant, Kareer Kafe) said, “Career deciding is the only decision that goes for long way.
She said that the career counseling sessions are very important to eliminate the career paralysis, adding that this also helps the students to choose a right path to success instead of going on a wrong track.
S Charanjit Singh Channi (Chairman, CT Group of Institutions) said, “The career counseling camp will be attended by experienced teachers, educationists and intellectuals. There will be students who need direction and professional guidance to choose and manage their careers.”
