CTNEA discusses demands

JAMMU, Aug 14: J&K Commercial Taxes Non-Gazetted Employees Association (CTNEA) today held a meeting under the leadership of its chairman, Surinder Gupta and president, Nazir Ahmad Bhat, to discuss their demands.
Speaking on the occasion, Gupta said that the Department had submitted a proposal for ‘model recruitment rules’ another for re-organization in the year 2009, which have not been finalized till date without assigning any cogent reasons.
Besides, pay anomalies of various cadres of the department are pending in Finance Department and the file in this regard is pending for disposal in the personal section of the State Finance Minister for last eight months, he said and expressed concern over the stagnation of Data Entry Operators for last 16 years due to failure of Finance Department in framing the Caderization rules.
He urged the Chief Minister, Omar Abdullah to intervene into the matter and fulfill the genuine demands of the employees.
Maintained that the employees of the Department also deserve two and half days salary and uniform allowances, the president of the Association urged the Government to extend these benefits to the employees of the Department.
