Jammu, Feb 24: “Cubs Bulbul Utsav” was celebrated in Kendriya Vidyalaya Bantalab on the birthday of Lord Baden Powell, the founder of Bharat Scouts & Guides Movement with great zeal and enthusiasm here today.
Chief guest A.V.L.J. Rao (Divisional Commissioner) Jammu Region with other dignitaries Usha Shamindra (Assistant Commissioner), R.K.Shukla (Distt Commis-sioner (S) ), Laxmi Narayan (Distt. Commissioner (S)), JS Verman (ASOC,Div. Org. Com.,S), Sanjay Nagar (Div.Trg.Com.(s), Nimmi Koul (Div.Trg. Com.(G)) graced this occasion with their presence. School Principal V. Santhosh Kumar presented welcome.
288 cubs and bulbuls with their escorts from different Kendriya Vidyalayas of Jammu cluster participated in this Utsav and presented cultural activities in a beautiful manner.
Speaking on the occasion, the chief guest in his address appreciated the students for participating in such activities that develop the personality of a child. Prizes to winners were distributed by the chief guest and Utsav concluded with the vote of thanks presented by AnjuJamwal (ASOC, Div.Org.Com. G)
