KISHTWAR, Oct 30: Department of Educational Studies, Central University of Jammu, organized a five-day ICT Based Training Programme at Government Girls Higher Secondary School, Kishtwar, under Pandit Madan Mohan Malviya National Mission for Teachers and Teaching (PMMMNMTT).
There were 15 sessions of this training programme, which mainly focused on ICT and its Tools, Basics of Computer, MS-Word, Excel, Power Point, Internet, Smart Board and Uses of e-resources in teaching-learning process etc.
Sunil Kumar Sharma, Minister of State for Transport (Independent Charge), in his online address, highlighted the significant role of ICT in the present Indian context for professional development of teachers.
Prof Ashok Aima, Vice Chancellor CUJ also delivered online address to the participating ZEOs/Teachers of the programme. He assure that the department will organize more capacity building programmes in the subjects of Languages, Mathematics, Science and Social Sciences for school teachers at district level. He also expressed the vision and mission of the Central University of Jammu to improve the standard and quality of school education in Jammu and Kashmir State under prestige PMMMNMTT scheme.
Abrar Ahmed Choudhary, SSP Kishtwar, who was chief guest, enlightened the participants on the importance of PMMMNMTT scheme, origin of ICT term, significance and importance of ICT in teaching-learning process/office work and capacity building of teachers.
Prof Renu Nanda, Head, Department of Education, University of Jammu, delivered valedictory note on the latest trends in ICT and also underlined the use of latest technologies in teaching-learning process and new Central Government initiatives like e-resources, e-pathsala, SWAYAM etc.
Ajit Kumar Sharma, CEO, Kishtwar, highlighted the importance of this training programme for ZEOs and Teachers. Dr Parmod Kumar, Programme Co-ordinator read out the detailed report of the five days ICT based training programme.
The programme was well organized and successfully Co-ordinated by Dr Parmod Kumar, Assistant Professor, Department of Educational Studies, CUJ.
