CUK wins Legal Quiz Competition

Srinagar, June 4: Kash-mir University’s Department of Law held Shah-i-Hamdan Legal Quiz Competition.
Central University of Kashmir team won the competition while teams from University of Kashmir and Kashmir Law College emerged as first and second Runner Ups, respectively.
The team from CUK’s School of Legal Studies comprised Taqwa Yusuf and Mohsina Irshad of B.A.LL.B 10th semester while Abrar-ul-Haq and Anam from Faculty of Law at KU were adjudged as first runner up. Gousiya Gulzar and Mehvish Imtiyaz of Kashmir Law College were adjudged as second runner up.
Besides participants from KU’s Department of Law and CUK`s School of Legal Studies, other participants from private law colleges of Kashmir which are affiliated with University of Kashmir including Kashmir Law College, Vitasta College of Law and Humanities and KCEF Law College Pulwama were part of the competition.
CUK Vice-Chancellor, Prof Mehraj-ud-Din Mir distributed cash prizes and certificates among the winners and runner ups.
Dean of Academic Affairs at KU, Prof M A Wani, was chief guest on the occasion while Dean and Head Faculty of Law, Prof M Ayub welcomed the participating teams.
Prof M Hussain, Prof Shiekh Showkat , Dr Fareed Rafeeqi Law were, among others, present on the occasion.
