Cultural Prog organized for jail inmates

JAMMU, June 8: A cultural programme was organized in the premises of Central Jail  at Kotbhalwal by Cultural Wing  of Department of Information and Public Relations for the Jail inmates.
Senior Superintendent Jail, Dinesh Sharma, Dr. Rajinder Kumar, Medical Officer Central Jail alongwith other subordinate staff as well as jail inmates in large numbers was present in the cultural programme.
On the occasion, the artists of Cultural Wing of Department of Information and Public Relations presented 2-hour long colourful cultural items under the supervision of Cultural Officer Jammu Raman Joshi.
The artists enthralled the Central Jail inmates and staff members with their melodious voices are Jeevan Sharma, Vijay Anand, Zulekha Farid,  Avtar  Kour, Kuldeep  Kumar,  Surjit Singh Sumbaria, Ekta  Kumari, Amit  Anand, Kamal Kumar, Bodh Raj, Hukam Chand, Bunty  Kumar and Rajesh Kumar.
Speaking on the occasion, Senior Superintendent of Jail Dinesh Sharma thanked the Information Department for arranging such a wonderful programme and  sparing their  valuable  time  to  associate  with  Prison  Routine  and  requested  to  organize  such  programmes  in  near  future. He said such type of programme not only ease the stress of jail inmates but also providing platform to jail inmates in presenting their hidden talent through musical items.
