JAMMU, Dec 20: CVPPL emerged victorious in the Maitri Cup 2024-25 T20 Cricket Tournament held at Jammu University Cricket Ground, here today.
The final match saw a thrilling contest between CVPPL and NHPC, where CVPPL triumphed by 6 wickets. Ram Swaroop, Executive Director of NHPC Regional Office Jammu was the chief guest at the event and presented the winning trophy to the CVPPL team.
He was accompanied by Chhotey Lal, GGM (Civil), Vasant Hurmade, GGM (E&C), Amrik Singh, GGM (Elect.), along with Madam ED, Madam MD, and senior officials from both CVPPL and NHPC.
Ramesh Mukhiya, Managing Director of CVPPL, congratulated the winning team through virtual mode. The tournament, organized by CVPPL, aimed to promote sports activities, develop team spirit, and foster healthy competition among the employees of NHPC, CVPPL and NHDC.
In addition to the team victory, individual honours were awarded. Mudasir-Ul-Nazir of CVPPL was named the Best Player of the Tournament, Vishal Koushal of CVPPL received the Best Batsman award, and Nitin Parihar of CVPPL was named the Best Bowler.
