JAMMU, Feb 21: Dalhousie Hilltop School (DHS) today organized an education seminar here at Amar Singh Club, which was attended by parents, alumni and management of the school.
During the seminar, the alumni shared their school days memories and gave credit of their success in their respective fields to Dalhousie Hilltop School.
Harit Bhalla, owner, 17 Miles Resort, Jammu, who was present there said, “Hilltop School was the foundation of the competitive and managerial spirit in me. I am proud to be a Hilltopian and can say that the formative years spent at DHS have been a great enabler for my success today.”
Also present at this meet was Manish Gupta, Owner, Early Times, who said, “Dalhousie Hilltop School creates the sense of discipline among the students and prepares them to face all challenges in society. DHS helped me to overcome the distractions of urban life and hone in on my critical-thinking, administrative skills and leadership qualities. I am greatly indebted to this institution for teaching me the responsibility and dedication required to be successful in life.”
The school focuses on a best-of-both breeds hybrid model of education and is run by Yashi Benevolent Trust and recently appointed president, Poonam Dhawan, who has returned after several decades in USA.
On the occasion, Poonam talked about the new teaching models/techniques that are being utilized to impart the best overall education to their students.
She said that DHS trains their students to pay rigorous attention to develop excellent life and career skills, and master flexibility and adaptability, initiative and self direction, social and cross culture skills focusing on the productivity and accountability with problem-solving and leadership qualities.
