JAMMU, Nov 10: All J&K Dalit Chetna Manch has cautioned the BJP-PDP Coalition Government to get ready for facing wrath of SCs/ STs/OBCs if it failed to provide them justice.
In a press statement here today, Sham Lal Basson, president of the Manch alleged that both BJP and PDP have failed to protect Constitutional rights of the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe communities in the State. He said the Government must issue an ordinance extending constitutional amendments in J&K or call a special session of Assembly to protect Reservation Act of 2004.
He warned the State Government to take a decision on this issue or get ready to face wrath of the members of these communities in coming Local Bodies and Corporation elections. He said the election  results in Bihar are eye opener for both the parties in power in J&K. The recent statement of RSS chief Mohan Bhagwat regarding review of reservation has played crucial in the Bihar elections.
Dalit leader pointed out that OBCs are enjoying 27 % reservation in the whole country but in J&K they are deprived of this right. The J&K State failed to implement Mandal Commission report.  He also urged upon the Government to clear backlog of reservation in the State.
Kesar Singh and Bihari Lal Bhagat also spoke on the occasion.
