JAMMU, Dec 17: The Dashmesh Kabaddi Tournament 2024, organized by Swami Vivekananda Sports Club and Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP), concluded at Ved Mandir Ground, Ambphala, here today. A total of 26 teams participated in various age categories: 6 teams in the girls’ 60 kg category, Under-14 boys, and 20 teams in the 17-19 years age group.
In the girls’ category, MA Stadium secured first place, while KV finished second. The Under-14 boys’ category saw Tanda Tiger team take the top spot, with Ved Mandir coming second. In the Under-17 category, Ved Mandir claimed first place, and MA Stadium secured second. Shahid DBP Club triumphed in the Under-19 category, while Khelo India Doda secured second.
The closing ceremony was attended by Vinay Gupta (DySP and National Kabaddi Player) as the chief guest, along with Nirdesh from ABVP. Prizes were distributed by Manoj Kumar and Balwinder Singh. The event was supported by key dignitaries, including KC Singh Mehta, President of Swami Vivekananda Sports Club.
