JAMMU, Nov 25: The second day of the 39th Stag J&K State Table Tennis Championship witnessed some exciting contests, with players displaying extraordinary skills while viewing for the top honours at MA Stadium, here.
Salim Bandey, Secretary Poonch Table Tennis Association was the special guest in today’s proceedings, who witnessed the matches and encouraged the players to play with sporting spirit and perform well.
Earlier, in Under 12 Cadet Boys Quarterfinals, Rohan outplayed Daksh 2-0, Pratham trounced Madhav 2-0, Sourav beat Rithak Kapoor 2-1 and Tejeswinder defeated Lavish 2-1, while in Under-12 Cadet Girls QuarterfInals, Iknoor defeated Presha 2-0, Divyanshi got the better of Snigdha 2-0, Gouri drubbed Mishti 2-1 and Ragini prevailed over Hargun 2-1.
Under 12 Girls (Cadet Girls Semi Final) Iknoor bt Divyanshi 3-0, Ragini bt Gouri 3-0 Under 14 (Sub jr Girls Second Round) Shubhima bt Leepakshi 2-0, Divyanshi bt Prisha 2-1, Hargun bt Gouri 2-0 and Ishita bt Mishti by 2-1.
The matches were officiated by Sandeep Khadotra (NIS Table Tennis coach), Narinder Kour (NIS Coach), Meenu Rajesh and Asad Sharma (Coach).
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Satbir Singh, Rajan Sharma, IP Singh, Satish Gupta, Ajay Sharma, Vasu Dewan, Anil Dutta, Sandeep Khadotra, Shorya Sharma, Narinder Singh, Sheetal Gandotra, Salim Bandey from Poonch, Sanjeev Gupta and Ashok Singh, Manager MA Stadium, Jammu.
