JAMMU, Dec 21: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Sumit Nayyar seeking improvement of infrastructural facilities at all the cremation grounds in Jammu, Division Bench of Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh High Court comprising Acting Chief Justice Tashi Rabstan and Justice Rajesh Sekri has directed Senior AAG to file latest status report with regard to the completion of cremation grounds mentioned in the status report before the next date of hearing.
After hearing Advocate Sumit Nayyar (who is also petitioner), the DB observed, “though the latest status report has been filed by Senior AAG S S Nanda wherein it is stated that various works have been resumed in various wards with regard to cremation grounds, however, timeframe for completion is not given”.
