JAMMU, Sept 16: In a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) filed by Bar Association Jammu and Sumit Nayyar seeking various developmental activities around court complex, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice MM Kumar and Justice Dhiraj Singh Thakur today directed the Chief Engineer R&B to remain present in the court on next date of hearing.
After hearing Senior Advocate MK Bhardwaj with Advocate Ranjit Singh Jamwal, Senior Advocate Sunil Sethi with Advocate Veenu Gupta for the PIL whereas Senior AAG Gagan Basotra and AAG Seema Shekhar for the State and Senior Advocate DC Raina with Advocate Arun Thakur appearing for the JKPCC, the DB observed, “Senior AAG undertakes to file compliance report with regard to various directions issued from March 06, 2014 till date and their implementation”.
“The possibility of construction of a small passage facilitating the entry of two wheelers and three wheelers by a temporary road connecting the main road through Daily Excelsior lane may also be explored and in that connection Chief Engineer, PW(R&B) shall remain present in person on September 22, 2014”, the DB directed.
