JAMMU, Nov 18: Dewan Badrinath Vidya Mandir Educational Trust celebrated Annual Day function on the theme ‘Utkarsh Matari Shakti’ with great zeal. The event showcased a vibrant amalgamation of talent, creativity, and resilience, highlighting the collective potential that drives positivity.
The theme revolved around the notion that women of India need not to be empowered, they were empowered ever since the dawn of time. The theme reminds us that the power and influence of women transcend eras and boundaries. Their contribution is often unsung in the course of history.
Chief guest on this occasion was Indu Kanwal Chib, Mission Director JKRLM. Varindrajit Singh, Chairperson DBN Educational Trust, Nandita Singh Co-chairperson, Gauri Nayar Secretary DBN Education Trust, Dr Kunal Anand, Principal DPS Udhampur, KCS Mehta, Principal IDPS Akhnoor and Mentor Jammu Sohdaya, Pramod Srivastava were among prominent persons present on this occasion.
The program started with a welcome address by Vishu Sharma, Principal DBN Mubarak Mandi followed by the school report card presented by Principal DBN Amarvilla, Ranju Malhotra.
Chief guest Indu Kanwal Chib in her address commended the school’s commitment to nurturing not only academic excellence but also fostering a holistic environment that encourages personal growth and empowerment. She emphasized the importance of harnessing one’s inner strength to overcome challenges and achieve success by bringing equality in the society and being gender biased, which was followed by acknowledging the chief guest by the visionary Co chairperson Nandita Singh.
Shri Yog Prakash Award was also given to Ajay Khajuria who is a Professor-of-Practice Organization in Model Institute of Engineering and Technology, Jammu and Kashmir in the honour of Shri Yog Prakash who was the HoD of the Physics department in Jammu University. He was the first president of the school management. The program culminated with the vote of thanks by Neetu Gupta, Principal DBN SNS.
