JAMMU, Aug 22: In a contempt petition filed by Secretaries of Chief Justice and Judges of the High Court, Division Bench of State High Court comprising Chief Justice N Paul Vasanthakumar and Justice Tashi Rabstan today issued notice to Chief Secretary, Law Secretary and Principal Secretary Finance to showcase as to why they shall not be punished for not implementing the judgment of the High Court.
The Division Bench vide earlier order had held Secretaries of Chief Justice and Judges of the High Court entitled to grades equivalent to KAS.
“If the order implementing the judgment is not filed before next date of hearing, Chief Secretary, Law Secretary and Principal Secretary Finance shall appear in person”, DB directed.
