DC chairs meeting of education heads, issues necessary instructions

REASI, May 21: Deputy Commissioner Reasi, Indu Kanwal Chib today chaired a meeting of Chief Education Officer, ZEOs, Headmasters and Principals of all Government schools of the district and issued necessary instructions.
The DC directed to mark and submit biometric attendance daily, failing which strict action would be taken against the defaulter. According to fresh guidelines, consolidated attendance report shall be submitted to the CEO by 10:30 am daily.
To avoid cases of copying in exams, the DC directed the concerned ZEOs that they shall be responsible if such a case comes up in future. With regard to absenteeism among some teachers, the DC said that 3-level monitoring mechanism would be put into place to check teachers’ attendance. The monitoring mechanism will work on district, zonal and cluster levels. One-day salary of all the teachers found absent from schools on May 20, 2019 shall be deducted. It was also decided that a day’s salary of a teacher, who is found absent, shall be deducted in future also.
It was also directed by the Deputy Commissioner that parent-teachers/mother-teachers meetings shall be conducted on the next-to-last day of every month.
Additional District Development Commissioner, Ramesh Chander was also part of the meeting.
