REASI, May 30: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Reasi, Babila Rakwal declared open the girls inter-zone sports meet of district Reasi, organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports (DYSS) Reasi at General Zorawar Singh Stadium, here today.
The DC interacted with the participants from all 5 zones of the District in the disciplines of Kho- Kho, Kabaddi and Volleyball in the age groups of under-14 and under-17.
While interacting with the girl’s participants of different zones of district Reasi chief guest Babila Rakwal emphasized on involvement of each school going girl in sports activities.
Accompanied by the DYSS officer Taresem Singh and ZPEO Reasi (Zone) Ram Krishan Bhat, Dalvir Mehta (Manager, Sports Council, General Zorawar Singh Stadium) and Neelsh Shukla (Manger, Sports Council, Indoor Stadium Reasi) were also present on the occasion.
In Volleyball final (U-17), Zone Pouni beat Zone Reasi by 3-2. In Kabaddi final (U-14) Zone Pouni defeated Zone Arnas while in U-17, Zone Pouni thrashed Arnas. In Kho-Kho final (U-17), Zone Reasi beat Zone Chassana while in U-14 Zone Pouni defeated Zone Mahore.
