DC directs AVOs for monthly vigilance monitoring ATRs

Reasi, Mar 24: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Dr Shahid Iqbal convened a meeting of Assistant Vigilance Officers of 43 departments and reviewed departmental vigilance monitoring mechanism of various offices in the district.
A detailed resume of new vigilance structure in the State was discussed and all the officers were sensitised about monthly reporting of vigilance matters as well is compulsory internal vigilance. The district officers were informed that as Assistant Vigilance Officers they have to ensure that all the documents and files or any kind of information sought by State Vigilance Commission is provided within 15 days or stipulated time failing which disciplinary proceedings against the defaulting officials will be recommended to Heads of Departments.
The DC directed all the district officers to proactively initiate enquiries and furnish monthly action taken report by 5th of every month which will be scrutinized by the District Vigilance Officer and thereafter furnished to the State Vigilance Commission. He asked the officers to adhere to the timeline of investigation and extend assistance wherever required. Referring to Results Framework Document (RFD), he directed the officers to adopt targeted approach in consonance with the aims and objectives of the SVC.
The district and sectoral officers were asked to lodge FIRs in matter involving irregularities or any kind of misappropriation and inform the State Vigilance Commission through the DVOs accordingly. He directed that all the AVOs of departments should establish a vigilance monitoring and complaint management cell in their offices which will be inspected by the DVO on regular basis.
District Vigilance Officer Rajinder Singh Tara, Addl DC, asked the officers to furnish the desired information on format every month for perusal of the Commission and work in consonance with the Act by virtue of which SVC has been established and binding duties have been entrusted to the AVOs.
The meeting was attended by SSP, Superintending Engineers, ACD, ACR and all district officers.
