DC exhorts youth to avail benefits under ‘HUNAR’ scheme

SAMBA, Dec 27: Deputy Commissioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda today visited Social Welfare Centre at Village Chawni Abtal of Ramgarh block and interacted   with the students being imparted skill development training under ‘HUNAR’ scheme. She exhorted upon the youth to come forward and avail benefits under the scheme.
Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by DSWO Mushtaq Choudhary, Chief Horticulture Officer, C.L Sharma, Chief Instructor Gul Sayeed and DDM NABARD Surinder Singh.
DC was informed that the training is being provided to unemployed girls/women in value addition of fruits and vegetables by Departments of Social Welfare and Horticulture, Fruit and Craft Centre.
Sheetal Nanda appreciated the theme of training programme and stressed on organization of financial literacy camps for participants too. She directed officials to formulate proposals for developing marketing and supply chain linkages for the entrepreneurs. She emphasized upon participants to become part of cashless economy and ensure that they have bank account, Adhaar and debit cards.
Later, the DC also inspected various Skill Development Training centres imparting training like plumbering, cutting and tailoring under Special central Assistance to SC/ST Tribal sub plan at Samba.
