POONCH, Mar 23: Ahead of Lok Sabha elections in Rajouri-Anantnag Constituency, Deputy Commissioner Poonch, Yasin Choudhary today directed the authorities to restore traffic on Mughal Road as early as possible.
The Deputy Commissioner today visited Mughal Road and reviewed the snow clearance work. He was accompanied by Xen Surankote Division Shoket Ali and Traffic Police officials besides others. They visited upto 41 km on Mughal Road from Poonch side. Yasin asked to expedite snow clearance work and throw it open as early as possible.
Yasin Choudhary said that snow clearance work has been completed up to 41 km on Mughal Road from Surankote side, only 2 kms have left to touch Pir ki Gali.
“Sufficient machinery has been put in place. We hope that the concerned department will complete this work by the end of this month and the road shall be opened for vehicles movement, he added.
