LEH, May 7: Deputy Commissioner Avny Lavasa today reviewed the progress of ongoing development works under Border Area Development Programmes (BADP) here.
The meeting was attended by Councilors of Leh district representing Nyoma, Tangtse, Nubra and Khaltsi and district officers.
It was informed in the meeting that LAHDC has approved Rs. 14.60 crore under BADP for the year 2018-19. Under the BADP, the construction work of road and buildings, community gathering centres, foot paths, link roads, culverts, minor irrigation channel besides repair and upgraded the buildings of medical centres would be completed.
The Deputy Commissioner directed the concerned departments to gear up their men and machinery for completing ongoing developmental works under BADP in stipulated time.
She said that district administration is committed to provide all basic amenities to the people of border areas. She urged officers to monitor the quality of ongoing developmental works and said LAHDC various majors are afoot to provide durable assets to the people across the Leh district.
