DC Samba holds grievance redressal camp

Samba, Oct 19: The District Development Commi-ssioner Samba, Sheetal Nanda today held a public grievance redressal camp at Kamotha of Sumb block.
The villagers from Marel, Souram, Snoor, Ked, Chotali beli, Davan, Jeer and Samotha were also present at the camp. The DDC was accompanied by ADDC Vivek Sharma, CPO J S Sambyal, ACD Tilak Raj, PO IWMP Pardeep Manhas, Tehsildar Samba R.K Rathore, ARTO Kuldeep Singh, XEns of PDD, PHE, PWD and District officers from other departments.
The villagers highlighted their problems like poor road and mobile connectivity, irregular water and power supply. They demanded opening of health care and vetinary dispensary in the area. They also demanded inclusion of their villages in RBA area in view of inaccessibility and lack of development.
The DDC directed the officers to address the genuine problems of the public. She directed XEn PWD to submit proposal for link road from Samotha to upcoming PMGSY road from Goran to Souram. She asked PHE Department to submit action taken report on complaints raised by the villagers within one week.
She also directed Horticulture, Agriculture and other departments to organise joint awareness programmes at the area. She further directed ACD Samba to submit proposal for developing school playground. The DDC directed XEn PDD to submit report on progress achieved under RGVY and proposal for augmentation of power supply under ST plan. She emphasised upon the departments to initiate more activities at these villages.
Later, the DDC also visited Govt High School Samotha and interacted with staff and students there.
