DC Srinagar flags off J&K Divyang Women’s Cricket team

SRINAGAR, Dec 1: Deputy Commissioner (DC) of Srinagar, Dr. Bilal Mohi-Ud-Din Bhat, today flagged off the Jammu and Kashmir (J&K) Divyang Women’s Cricket Team for their participation in the Umang Cricket Tournament, which will be held from December 4 to 6 in Bhopal. The tournament is organized by the Gauravdeep Welfare Society under the Divyang Cricket Control Board of India (DCCBI).
During the flag-off ceremony, the DC praised the efforts of the Chotay Taray Foundation for organizing this event, highlighting their commitment to providing opportunities for Divyang women in sports. Dr. Bhat wished the team success in the tournament, emphasizing that such events offer players a platform to showcase their talent, determination, and sportsmanship.
The J&K Divyang Women’s Cricket Team has been sponsored by the Chotay Taray Foundation, which works to empower persons with special abilities through sports and promote inclusivity. Arjumand Makhdoomi, Founder of the Chotay Taray Foundation, and other concerned individuals were present at the occasion.
