Excelsior Correspondent
REASI, May 1: Taking cognizance of the Excelsior report on protest by stranded migrant labourers for ration, Deputy Commissioner Reasi has sought a clarification from Executive Officer, Municipal Committee, Reasi that why the requirement for ration was not projected to Assistant Director Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs.
The office of DC Reasi has dashed a letter in this regard to the Executive Officer, MC Reasi and also directed for placing fresh requisition of ration within a day.
Pertinent to mention that aggrieved over no help from the administration to feed them, the migrant labourers locked down in Reasi, had held a strong protest against the district administration on Wednesday.
The protesting labourers had alleged that ever since the lockdown was enforced, they were provided only one food kit to each family, which got completely exhausted within a week and they had no more ration to feed them.
