POONCH, Oct 26: Deputy Commissioner, Poonch Tariq Ahmad Zargar visited forward areas on LoC in Sawijian area to inspect the pace of progress on construction of bunkers and other development works.
The DC visited Narian village of Sawijian area located on the edge of Poonch and Kashmir valley on one side and LoC on the other side, where he inspected the progress on under construction road link to the Loran – Tangmarg road project.
The DDC was accompanied by Executive Engineer of PWD, ACD, Tehsildar Mandi, BDO Mandi and other officials.
During the visit Deputy Commissioner met with local residents of the hilly area and listened to their demands pertaining to basic amenities.
Meanwhile, the DDC also visited construction sites of bunkers along LoC taken up by district administration in the areas which experienced repeated ceasefire violations by Pakistan.
