JAMMU, Dec 23: DCM Public School, Akhnoor celebrated its 9th Annual Day with enthusiasm and fervour, here today. The event was an absolute display of shimmering colours by the students from class Nursery to 10th.
The programme titled “Expressinos-2018” was a grand celebration full of scintillating performances of the students which left audiences enthralled and spellbound.
The programme started with the lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guest, Sham Lal Sharma, Former Minister. Present on the occasion was the guest of honour, Col Ritunjay Bahuguna and special guests ID Soni, State Commissioner Bharat Scouts & Guides and KCS Mehta, Principal APS Akhnoor.
A very thought provoking welcome speech was presented by the Director of the school, Dheeraj Jamwal Sharma followed by vibrant and spectacular performances of the students.
Chairman of the school, Sat Paul Sharma was also present on the occasion.
Principal Neha Bahuguna read out the annual report highlighting the prominent achievements of the school during the academic year.
The Hanuman Chalisa, Grand Finale and other cultural items were a delight to watch.
The parents were much delighted to see electrifying performances of their children.
The chief guest distributed trophies and certificates among the prize winners of the academic session 2017-18.
The chief guest, in his address, appreciated the performances of the students and acknowledged the growth and success of the school with such a faster pace.
He also congratulated the school for being upgraded to Sr. Secondary level by CBSE New Delhi.
The program concluded with the National Anthem.
