JAMMU, Dec 25: DCM Public School Akhnoor celebrated its 10th Annual Day with lots of fan fare and fervor.
The event was an absolute display of shimmering colours by the students from Class Nursery to 11th.
The programme titled “The Grand Utsav-2019” was a grand celebration full of scintillating performances of the students which left the audiences enthralled and spell bound.
The programme started with lighting of the ceremonial lamp by the chief guests Ravinder Raina State President BJP J&K and Yash Paul Sharma, Baba Ji Mathwar Wale.
The guests of honour were Rajeev Sharma, former MLA Akhnoor and Sham Lal Sharma, former Cabinet Minister, special guests were Mr & Mrs. S C Khajuria, Vikesh Kour, Rama Jamwal (Ex- Principals of DCM Public School), Kuldeep Singh Jamwal, Colonel (Retd) Harinder Singh, Guneet Maan, Madhu Abrol, Akhil Kohli, Simar Singh and Depesh Singh Pawar, Chairman Municipal Committee, Akhnoor.
The welcome speech was presented by the Chairman of the School Sat Paul Sharma, followed by vibrant and spectacular performances by the students.
Dheeraj Jamwal Sharma, Director of the School, read out the annual report highlighting the prominent achievements of the school during the academic year.
The classical dance and other cultural items were a delight to watch. The parents were also very much delighted to see their children performing.
The chief guest, guest of honour and special guests distributed trophies and certificates to the prize winners for the Session 2019-20.
It was a matter of immense pleasure and pride when the Director of the School made the announcement regarding renaming of the School as one of the leading names in the field of Schooling in India as “International Delhi Public School, Akhnoor”.
With this, from the session 2020-21 onwards, the School will include a huge set of infrastructural facilities like Swimming Pool, Shooting Nodes, Children Park, Skating Rink, Badminton Court, Cricket Practice Net and many more.
