BANDIPORA, May 17: The District Development Board (DDB), Bandipora, which met here under the chairmanship of Minister for Youth Services & Sports, IT and Information Technology, Molvi Imran Raza Ansari, today approved an annual plan of Rs 98.96 crore for the year 2016-2017.
Deputy Speaker, Legislative Assembly and MLA Gurez, Nazir Ahmad Gurezi, MLA Sonawari, Mohammad Akbar Lone, MLA, Bandipora, Usman Majeed and MLC, Yasir Reshi attended the meeting.
Among others, Deputy Commissioner, Bandipora, Sajjad Hussain and heads of various departments besides other concerned officers were present.
Addressing the meeting, the Minister told the officers to work with zeal and dedication to ensure effective and successful implementation of all the Government sponsored schemes.
The Minister said the Coalition Government is committed to improve basic amenities across the State besides uplifting the socio-economic condition of the disadvantaged. He stressed the officers to put an efficient mechanism in place so that all projects are executed while ensuring transparency, accountability and judicious utilization of funds.
Endorsing various suggestions and demands put forth by the Board members, Mr. Ansari directed the district administration to take appropriate measures on priority. He also instructed the officers to adhere to the fixed timelines for completion of all developmental projects and other welfare schemes.
Earlier, the DDC gave detailed overview of the achievements made during 2015-2016 fiscal and informed that out of total Rs 104.02 crore approved budget, Rs 103.27 crore were made available and Rs 98.22 crore were spent which is 95.12 percent achievement of the target.
The DDC also apprised the meeting about the proposed targets for district plan for year 2016-17.
