DDC Chairman inaugurates free medical camp

KATHUA, Oct 15: District Development Council (DDC) Kathua Chairman, Col (retd) Mahan Singh inaugurated a free medical camp at Mahanpur near here, today.
The camp was organised by Nidhi Hospital, Udhampur with its team headed by Dr RK Nagpal conducted the diagnosis and treatment of the patients. The team comprised of a Surgeon, a Physician besides dental surgeon. Facilities including mobile laboratory, dental check, Anti COVID-19 vaccination, besides distribution of free medicines were available till the conclusion of the day-long camp.
Speaking on the occasion, Col Mahan Singh appreciated the initiative of Nidhi Hospital to organize such event in the remote and far flung area. He lauded the doctors’ team for providing succor to the people at their door steps by providing them medicare free of cost.
Asserting that BJP stands committed to provide the best health care facilities to the people across the nation especially those living in the remote and far flung areas, Col Mahan assured every kind of help to the doctors for organizing such functions for the welfare of people of different areas in the future too.
Col Mahan Singh said that Bharatiya Janata Party’s motto is to serve and reach out to the common people besides providing good governance and the Government’s seriousness about the health issues can be well gauged from the Ayushman Bharat Scheme launches that covers each and every family and its members upto a maximum of Rs. 5 lakh for health related ailments and expenditure. He asked the people to avail the benefits through this scheme when required.
Meanwhile, plants and saplings were also distributed during the event in order to promote awareness among the people about the significance of clean and green environment that enables to live a healthy life.
Dr Nagpal, while speaking on the occasion, educated the people about the simple precautions to be followed that can keep diseases at bay urged them to strictly follow COVID SOPs and adopt CAB. He urged them to ensure vaccination against COVID virus well within time. He complimented DDC Chairman and local public for their support and assured that more such camps will be organised by his organization in future as well.
Among others present on the occasion were Sohan Lal Gupta, Sarpanch, Parmod Singh, Mansa Ram and respectable citizens besides patients along with their attendants in large numbers were present.
