Udhampur, Oct 15: District Development Commissioner, Udhampur, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, along with team of District Officers, convened public grievance redressal meetings and enrolment camps at Hartaryan, Tikri and Muttal where issues related to 12 Panchayats of Udhampur and Tikri block were discussed.
At Hartaryan decisions were taken for construction of bridge, upgradation of road, coverage of unelectrified villages, rationalisation of staff in schools and various developmental works. A camp on Global Hand Washing Day was organised at Tikri where developmental issues related to 4 panchayats were discussed which included construction of CSC, restoration of damaged road, ration supply and revenue matters. The DDC directed the concerned departments for immediate restoration of roads, providing ration and Kerosene Oil, construction of community toilets, sports ground and interior roads.
A public meeting was organised at Muttal where a large number of people from 5 panchayats participated and raised issues related to developmental works. The DDC provided Rs 6 lakh for repairs of Basa Morh to Muttal Road, Rs 3 lakhsfor replacement of water supply pipes, a foot bridge for Samoli-Muttal connectivity, one 250 KV transformers, power supply to panchayat ghar and two hamlets; and directed for upgaradtion of water supply in Samoli. CEO was directed for providing Urdu teacher at Muttal. Enrolment camp for social security scheme Aasra registered more than 200 women.
Dr Shahid and MLA Reasi Ajay Nanda also inaugurated a Model Panchayat Ghar at Muttal constructed at cost of Rs 20 lakh. Rs 2 lakh were sanctioned by the DDC for construction of compound wall of panchayat ghar. The DDC inspected developmental works in Hartaryan, Dhanoo, Tikri, Mand, Sunari, Cheraye and Muttal.
PO ICDS Sanjay Gupta, CMO Dr Chander Parkash, ACD Dhanantar Singh, DPO Sukriti Sharma, ExEn of PWD, PDD, PHE, REW, PMGSY-Reasi, PMGSY-Udhampur, Irrigation, Flood Control; Tehsildars, BDOs and district officers of various departments attended the public meetings.
