DDC Doda reviews progress under Jal Jeevan Mission

DODA, May 28: District Development Commissioner Doda Vikas Sharma today chaired a meeting of the Jal Shakti Department of all divisions in the mini meeting hall of the DC office complex   to review the progress under the Jal Jeevan Mission.
During the meeting threadbare discussion was held with regard to formulation of DPRs, tendering of projects, number of appraisals conducted, accord of administrative approvals, tenders allotted.
It was informed that all the 186 DPRs have been prepared out of which 149 schemes have already been tendered.
The DDC directed the SE to take up the matter of appraisal of pending DPRs with the Chief Engineer to facilitate the approval of the District Action Plan. He asked the department to pursue  administrative approvals and Technical Sanctions of the schemes and ensure that no scheme was left   untendered.
The DDC also directed the department to tender works of all filtration plants before May 31 and liaise with the mechanical and electrical departments for speeding up the process in respect of the works assigned to them. He asked the SE Hydraulics to share the weekly progress  scheme wise on every Monday so that the schemes shall be monitored for timely completion.
The meeting was attended by SE Hydraulics, CPO Doda, Ex En JSD Doda, Ex En JSD Gandoh, TO to Ex En Doda, and AEE from Kishtwar Division.
