DDC flags off Poonch Taekwondo players

POONCH, June 6: District Development Commissioner, Poonch Rahul Yadav accompanied by Sandhya Gupta, Chairperson Women Club Meri Pehchan flagged off Taekwondo players from Poonch for 2nd India Open International Taekwondo Olympic Ranking Championship.
The event is going to be held at Vijay Kotla Reddy Bhaskar Stadium, Hyderabad, Telangana from June 11 to June 16, 2019. The team comprised of 55-members from J&K, out of which 4 members are from Poonch.
Speaking on the occasion, DDC lavished praise on the selected players for this achievement.
Rajinder Singh, Chairman Warrior Taekwondo Club Poonch said that it was a proud moment for Poonch district that 4 players will participate in G1 International Taekwondo Championship, in which a good number of world class players will be representing different countries.
The medal winners from India in this championship will get a chance to represent India at World Taekwondo Championship held at Jordan (Senior) and Uzbekistan (Cadet).
