SAMBA, Mar 13: A meeting to review the performance of various sectors under District Annual Plan was held under the chairmanship of District Development Commissioner Samba, R.K Varma today.
Against the available funds amounting to Rs 4483.00 lakh under District Plan Rs.2580.20 lakh were utilized upto ending Feb 2014.
It was further apprised that Rs 17.80 crore has been utilized ending Feb 2014 under MGNREGA against the availability of Rs 22.37 crore thereby generating 5.73 lakh mandays. 2226 works were taken up and about 1037 works have been completed so far. Under IAY Rs 90.33 lakh were spent against the availability of Rs 150.55 lakh for completion of 34 IAY houses.
Under self employment sector 99 cases were sanctioned and Rs 67.45 lakh was disbursed.
Under the social welfare sector, Rs 91.65 lakh were utilized ending Feb, 2014 for providing pre-metric scholarship to 10530 students of SC/OBC/ST categories and reimbursement of exam fee to 427 students of SC/OBC categories. Under ICDS sector 10400 children in the age group of 6 months to 3 years, and 4938 in the age group of 3 years to 6 years, 1504 pregnant mothers, 2752 nursing mothers and 6033 adolescent girls were covered.
Earlier, DDC impressed upon the district/sectoral officers about strict adherence to the provision of Model Code of Conduct, which has come into operation since March 2014.
Among others ADDC Samba, SE EM&RE Kathua, ACD Samba, PO(DRDA), CPO, CAO, CMO, Executive Engineers of PWD(R&B), besides the officers of various departments attended the meeting.
