DDCA mulling disciplinary action against Bedi, Azad

New Delhi, Dec 25: The Delhi and District Cricket Association (DDCA) executive committee is most likely to take disciplinary action against former Indian players Bishen Singh Bedi and Kirti Azad, for making corruption allegations against its former president and Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley.   According to sources within the DDCA, the executive committee, which will meet here tomorrow, is mulling all possible disciplinary measures, including issuing showcause notice to the duo.   Bedi and Azad, both of whom are voting members of the city cricket association, have been for years carrying out a campaign targeting DDCA.

Azad, along with Bedi on Sunday, accused the DDCA of giving contracts to various companies, for which the addresses given were found to be false.   Azad, who is an MP from Darbhanga, has already been suspended by BJP, which charged him of indulging in anti-party activities. UNI
