JAMMU, Dec 29: The dead body of an unidentified man appears to be a beggar was recovered today here along Shalamar Road while another male body was found from a deep drain in General Bus Stand.
According to a police spokesperson, the dead body of an unknown male age about 70-75 years was spotted by some passersby in the Passenger Shed here at Shalamar Road falling under the jurisdiction of City police station.
On getting information police reached the spot shifted the body to mortuary room of Government Medical College and Hospital (GMCH), Jammu for identification and post mortem.
A case in this regard has been registered at City police station, where police has started inquest proceedings under Section 174CrPc.
Another body was found this morning from a three feet deep drain in General Bus stand. The deceased was identified as Sham Lal (50-55) son of Parsuram, a resident of Maheshpura, Jammu. After completing all legal formalities, the body of the deceased was handed over to his legal heirs for last rites. A case in this connection has been registered at police station Bus stand and proceeding initiated under Section 174 CrPC.
