Exposure of many scams by the Daily Excelsior is one of the reasons for terminating the services of Government officers. Society would take these exposures lightly as it is believed that nothing happens when such reports are published. They came many times and nothing happened. The readers like me thought this time also, nothing would happen but Mufti Government took a daring step. It is tip of the iceberg. There is need of doing a lot of work on this front.
Special Service Guarantee Act and CM’s grievance cell are also being taken lightly by many concerned officers.
In short, Government and Government servants are servants of the society but impression prevails as if they are the masters of the society.
Utiliztion of funds by various department also needs to be probed.
