JAMMU, Nov 10: Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Commissioner, Avny Lavasa today said dedication and commitment are the only mantra for success in any academic or sports field.
It was stated by her in a function, organised by Christian Fellowship Trust (CFT) for the felicitation of Christian students who achieved more than 60 percent marks during academic session 2019-20 either in 10th classes or 12th classes. The objective of the event was to guide, encourage and motivate the community students for their bright future.
The Commissioner graced the function as chief guest while Amit Gupta, Councillor of Ward no. 19 was the guest of honour. The function was organised under the supervision of Fr Kuriakose, president of the Trust wherein nearly 40 students were shortlisted for this function.
The chief guest said, “Choose any aim in life, work hard with full dedication, focus on your aim always, avoid distraction during studies and achieve success in their life.” She also conveyed her best wishes to the Christian students for their bright future.
The students who were felicitated during the function including Marry Gloria, Vishaka, Rashu, Marita Mattoo, Tessina, Prathana, Rechail, Smiti Gill, Disha, Sanna, Mehak Gill, Rachel Victor, Angel Khokher, Dolphine Mattoo, Mevrick, Rohan Gill, Brain Bhatti, Boston Victor, Ivan Khokher, Marryson Gill, Adarsh Sandhu, Abrahim, Allen Peter, Rahul Gill, Ronald William, Donald William, Elvin Gill, Saffron and Austin Mattoo.
Fr Justin, Fr Jafat Masih, FrAshwin Leo, Fr Maria Dass, Pastor Robin, Pastor Prince and many others were present during the function.
