JAMMU, May 30: J&K men’s handball team created history by winning the North Zone Handball Championship for third consecutive year by defeating the formidable side of Delhi in summit clash in New Delhi, recently.
In 18th North Zone Handball Championship, J&K men scripted a thrilling win over Delhi by a margin of 2 goals (27-25) in a tough contest. Earlier, in the pool matches J&K outplayed the decent sides of Punjab and Haryana by convincing margins.
J&K was defending champion in this tournament as it had clinched North Zone Handball Championship in the year 2010 and 2011 already.
