Inter-Collegiate Kabaddi (Women) Tournament

JAMMU, Sept 13: Defeating Government College for Women (GCW) Parade by 24 points (40-16) in the summit clash, PG Department lifted the title trophy of the Inter-Collegiate Kabaddi (Women) Tournament 2019-20, organised by the Director of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu at Varsity grounds, here today.
Earlier, in the semifinal, GCW Parade defeated GDC Hiranagar by 3 points (33-30) and PG Deptt V/s GDC, Ramnagar in which GCW Parade beat GDC Hiranagar by 03 points (33-30), while PG Department drubbed GDC Ramnagar by 23 points (28-05).
Prof SK Pandita, Department of Geology, University of Jammu was the chief guest on the occasion, Dr Vijay Sehgal, Department of Law, University of Jammu was the special guest, who interacted with the players of both the teams and distributed the medals and trophies among the winners and runners-up teams in the presence of Dr Daud Iqbal Baba, Director, Directorate of Sports and Physical Education, University of Jammu, Jammu.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were Suman Lata, GCW Parade, Raj Kumar Bakshi, Ravish Vaid, Vikas Karlopia, Jai Bharat, Sanjeev Sharma and Sanjay Verma,
The matches were officiated by Ajay Gupta, Anil Sharma, Ankush Gupta, Dheeraj Sharma, Keshav Singh, Harpreet Singh, Amandeep Singh and Gagan Kumar.
