Delegates session of JD(U) held

JAMMU, Mar 9: State unit of Janta Dal (United) today held delegates’ session in Jammu to deliberate the emerging political scenario across the country and Jammu Kashmir ahead of the 2014 Parliamentary elections.
The speakers expressed their contended view point about the gloomy political as well as the administrative scenario in the State as well as in the country where the menace of corruption has overtaken the moral values.
They expressed their grave concern over the deteriorating conditions of democratic institutions and moral degradation in the political system in the State. They explained the unethical approach being adopted by the political elements while pursuing their personal as well as political interests.
It was unanimously felt that for the last several years the political leadership in power has been unmindful of the pain and miseries of the common people, while as it has been instrumental in creating a handful of people who have been eating up the major share of the developmental reserves adding to the miseries of the common masses.
The speakers after deliberating on the failure of political system in the State, gave a comprehensive guidance to the commoners to use their democratic power, the vote, on the bases of the personal as well political standing of the candidate.
The people need to think twice before casting their vote and should not get swayed by the exploiting sentimental issues, they urged.
State JD (U) president Abdul Majid Wani chaired the session.
