2nd J&K Masters Cricket C’ship

JAMMU, Jan 6: J&K Game Changers and M P Super Stars defeated their opponents in the ongoing 2nd Masters Cricket Championship which is being organized jointly by Range Police Headquarters Jammu and Jammu & Kashmir Veterans Cricket Association, here today.
Shalinder Singh, SSP Crime Jammu was the Chief Guest who was introduced with the participating teams in the first match of the day. He also distributed caps among the players.
SSP Crime appreciated the players of MP, Delhi and Punjab for arriving in Jammu and enjoying the shorter version of the game of Cricket. He also said that these players are real ambassadors for us who will share the real picture of J&K with their friends and also project the friendly, peaceful and enjoyable environment of J&K among all.
In the first match M P Super Stars defeated J&K Game changers by 44 runs. Batting first, M P Super Stars scored134 runs for the loss of 6 wickets in 18 overs with Sohail 57 runs, Nasir 48 runs and Dinesh 13 runs. From the bowling side Bansi Lal took 2 wickets, Raja, Peter and Ashwani took 1 wicket each.
In reply J&K Game Changers could not chase the target and managed to score 90 runs for loss of all wickets in 15.1 overs. Amarjeet scored 30 runs, Avinash 15 and Lakhwinder 13 runs .From the bowling side Chander Parkash and Sohail took 2 wickets each, Sanjay Choubey, Sadiq, Dinesh and Raju took 1 wicket each.
Sohail was declared as Man of the Match.
In another match Delhi Dashers defeated Horizon Stars by 31 runs. Batting First Delhi Dashers scored 144 runs for the loss of 4 wickets in the allotted 16 overs. Parkash scored 53, Sandeep 33 and Dheeraj 12 runs. Raman Dutta 2 wickets, Shamsher and Hilal took 1 wicket each
In reply Horizon Stars could not chase the target and scored only 113 runs in 15.4 overs. Pardeep Bali scored 25 runs, Ashok 22 runs and Anshuman 18 runs for the team. Parkash took 4 wickets, Sandeep and Sanjeev Seth took 3 wickets each. Parkash was declared as Man of the Match.
The officials of the matches were Vijay Raina, Ashok Kumar and Amit Gill. RP Singh conducted the proceedings of the ceremony and commentary of the matches.
