Delhi faces UP in U-14 boys cricket finals today

SRINAGAR, Oct 5: Defeating their respective rivals convincingly in the semifinals, formidable Delhi and strong Uttar Pradesh teams made it to the finals of the 59th National School Games Under-14 boys cricket tournament, being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports at various venues, here.
Now the two teams will take on each other in the summit clash at Sher-i-Kashmir Cricket Stadium, here tomorrow.
According to the organizers, Minister of State for Science Technology, School Education and Youth Services and Sports, Feroz Ahmad Khan will be the chief guest in the valedictory function after the final match, while Ashok Prasad, Director General of Police J&K will be the guest of honour and Navin Agarwal, Director General Youth Services and Sports will preside over the function.
Earlier, in semifinal matches, Uttar Pradesh drubbed NVS by 4 wickets, Delhi drubbed CBSC by 6 wickets.
NVS scored 153 in the allotted 30 overs and UP achieved the target in 25 overs, losing 6 wickets in the process, while in another match, CBSC scored 97 against Delhi and Delhi reached the target in 21.4 overs for loss of 4 wickets.
The tournament is being organized by the Department of Youth Services and Sports J&K under aegis of School Games Federation of India, under the supervision of its Director General.
