Delhi Wrestler lifts 111th Jagti Saya Dangal title

REASI, June 15: Wrestler Bina of Delhi lifted 111th annual Jagti Saya Dangal title by defeating Wrestler  Benia Min  of J&K Police  in the 1st malli  bout that lasted for 12 minutes.
The day-long wrestling  event (Dangal)  was organized by Dangal Committee Jagti  Saya in collaboration  with J&K  Indian Style Wrestling Association under the overall supervision of  Parveen Singh  (President)  and  Abdul  Rashid  Malik (Chairman).
Social activist and contractor Rajesh Sharma of Katra was the chief guest on the occasion. Former Joint Secretary J&K State Sports Council and President Kreeda Bharti Jammu and Kashmir Shiv Kumar Sharma presided over the function
President Yuva Rajput Sabha Vikram Singh Chib and former President Yuva Rajput Sabha  Rajan Singh (Happy)  were the guests of honour. The winner of 1st malli bout Wrestler Bina was awarded with cash prize of Rs 61,000 while runner-up Benia Min was awarded with cash prize of Rs 50,000.  The second malli main bout was won by Ishaq   Ahmed (Lallu) of J&K Police who defeated wrestler Chandi of Delhi Lallu was awarded with cash prize of Rs 31,000 while runner-up wrestler Chandi got Rs 20,000. Third Malli bout was fought between Rashid of Vijaypur, Akhara Domana and Ashish of Delhi. This bout ended in a draw. Both the wrestlers were jointly awarded with a cash prize of Rs 41,000 equally.
Fourth bout was won by Nadeem of Doda who defeated Vishal of Delhi, Surjeet Singh of J&K Police defeated Nikhal of Delhi, Mam Hussain of Domel beat Jorden of Delhi, Arjun of Jammu beat Amit of Haryana and Babba of Kot Bhalwal Jammu beat Neeru Gujjar of BSF Chandigarh.  In all 65 bouts were played in the Dangal and Rs 5, 00,000 was distributed as cash prize among the wrestlers.
