ARNAS, July 9: A meeting of Panchayat Arnas Kanthan, block Arnas, was held today under the chairmanship of Sarpanch Raman Kumar for discussing some long pending demands and local issues of development.
The meet expressed serious concern over unprecedented delay in completion of work by GREF on Reasi-Arnas-Mahore road. Since 2002, when this road was handed over to GREF, only a fraction of work has been done by the GREF, the meet rued and demanded speeding up of the work.
The meet also demanded a motorable road and bridge over Ans nallah for linking Arnas to Thakrakote, SDM office at Arnas etc.
The meeting resolved that a memorandum highlighting the demands would be submitted to the higher authorities for their consideration at the earliest.
