JAMMU, Oct 6: Department of Library and Information Science, University of Jammu, secured first position in the Mime event, organised during the ongoing “Display Your Talent”, by Department of Students Welfare, Jammu University, at Brigadier Rajinder Singh Auditorium, here today.
The second and third positions in the said event were conferred to teams from GGM Science College and Government Degree College, RS Pura, respectively.
In mono-acting contest, Aparna Kapoor and Niharika, both from Government Women College, Parade, were adjudged as first and second respectively, whereas, Neha Choudhary of GGM Science College, claimed third position.
In Mimicry competition, the lone certificate of merit went to Chetan Atri from Modern Institute of Engineering and Technology.
Prof Neelu Rohmetra, Rector, Kathua Campus, University of Jammu, was the chief guest on the occasion, who distributed prizes amongst the winners in presence of Prof NK Tripathi, Dean Students Welfare and Dr Vishva Raksha, Coordinator, NSS.
Anil Sharma, Vinod K Dheer and Dr Jagdish Mehra, were the jury members for Mime, Mono-Acting and Mimicry events.
Dr Hema Gandotra from Department of Sociology, was the Teacher Incharge who made the participants well conversant with the rules and regulations.
The whole programme was compeered by Ajit Verma.
Among others present were Prof Jashbir Singh, Chairman, Campus Cultural Committee, Dr Sanjay Sharma, Dr Meghna Dhar, Nidhi Kaila, Nitan Sharma, teacher incharge from various affiliated colleges and students.
